Obituary for Joan of Arc
Joan of Arc, also known as Jehanne Darc, was a very important individual. She was born into a peasant family and worked on a farm. While all of the many other children went to school for an education, she learned to spin wool, sew, and prayed consistently. What is so special about her is that she disguised herself as a man to fight in the French army against England because she thought that was what the Lord called her to do. She obtained many military victories, including her biggest:winning back Orleans from the English. Sadly, the ending of Joan's life was created by being captured and sold to the English. Instead of being believed for hearing the words of God, people thought she was speaking with the Devil, in which they called her a witch and burned her to death.
