The Black Plague
The Black Plague, also known as The Black Death, or Bubonic Plague, was a very serious illness that killed many. There never really was a cure for this, so once you got it, you just died. The spread of this started with fleas, then moved to rats, then to humans.
This plague is known to be one of the greatest catastrophes ever. And it is estimated to have killed 30%-60% of Europe's population.
